Trustworthy Colored Man Died -- Mal Lawrence, one of the best known Negroes in 
Valdosta, Ga., was buried there a few days ago.  He was in the employ of one firm 
for about twenty years and was a trustworthy employe [sic].  He was a member of 
the old fire department and had done his full share in fighting fires in the 
straggling village of a few years back.
