                                 Mr. J. W. Perdue
 John William Perdue, 66, died Monday at South Georgia Medical Center.
 Born in Batesburg, SC, Mr. Perdue had lived in Valdosta for 15 years. He was 
retired from the textile industry and was a member of the Azela City Baptist 
Church.
 Survivors include his wife, the former Gloria Kay Hall of Valdosta; two 
daughters, Janie Hand of Greenville, SC and Michelle Perdue of Woodstock; a 
son, Russell Perdue of Easley, SC; two sisters, Hazel Miller of Leesville, SC 
and Christine Corley of Saluda, SC; a brother, Rayford Perdue of Gaffney, SC; 
and five grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at Azela City Baptist Church 
with the Rev. James Walker, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at McLane 
Riverview Memorial Gardens.
 Carson McLane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John was born 22 Nov 1922 to Sim Watson Perdue and Urnis Pokhonts "Dora" 
Sammons Perdue, both buried in Ridge Crest Memorial Park in Batesburg, SC.
