MORTUARY.

Valdosta, Ga., April 9-
J. H. Proctor died at his home in this city at a late hour yesterday afternoon, 
after an illness of two weeks with pneumonia.  Mr. Proctor had been in business 
here for a number of years, and was a highly esteemed citizen.  He was a member 
of the Retail Grocers Association, and the other members of this organization 
closed their stores in his honor and attended his funeral at the city cemetery 
at 5 o'clock this afternoon.  The deceased leaves a widow and several children.
