 Loretta Wetherington, 69 of Valdosta died July 2, 2007 at St. John Mercy 
Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
 Born March 1, 1938 in Lubbock County, TX to the late Vernon Dempsey and Doris 
Srader Wright, she was a homemaker and retired from Shaw Industries. She was a 
member of First Baptist Church of Valdosta and was married to the late William 
Ralph Wetherington who died in 2001.
 Survivors include daughter, Judith Marie Joiner of Concord, NC; son, Dr. 
Charles Andrew Wetherington of St. Louis, MO; brother, Jerry Wright of San 
Springs, OK; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in 
death by two brothers, Roy and Chester Wright.
 Funeral services were held July 7 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral 
Home with Rev. Mac Weaver officiating. Musical selections included "Amazing 
Grace" and "In The Garden."
 Interment was in Lenox City Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Jake Joiner, Luke Joiner, Duane Wetherington, Zachary 
Wetherington.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
