John Alexander Williams was the son of Rev. John Lafayette Williams b. 1832 
Pike Co. AL. d. 1888 Hazlehurst, GA. Methodist Minister over 30 years. We think 
this picture was taken just before he married my grandmother in 1911? 
Luna A. Peters and John Alexander Williams were married in Appling Co. GA in 
1911, now Hazlehurst GA. Both are buried at Catcreek Cememtery Valosda, GA  The 
family lived in Hazlehurst until 1920 when they moved to Waycross. My 
grandfather worked for the Atlantic Coast Line RR. My grandmother died from 
childbirth of twins in 1926 when my daddy Mehl Urquhart Williams was only 6 
years old. After the death of John Alexander Williams in 1940, Mehl moved to FL 
to live with his sister Sara E. Williams Reese in Jacksonville, FL. 
Luna was a Reg. Nurse in Waycross and Valdosta GA. 
We think this picture was taken just about the time they married in 1911.
