Enlisted 8/8/61, Age 26, AWOL on rolls from 8/10/62 through February 63, Feb 63 entry states he deserted, Roll dated 1/14/64 states that he deserted near Chattanooga 9/20/63 implying that he had returned to the company in 1863, Deserted again near Winchester, Va 9/7/64, No further record however a postwar listing shows that he is living in Warrenton, Ohio indicating that he may have taken the Oath of Allegiance and gone north 2nd Sgt Henry W Ward - Enlisted 7/9/61, Age 41 (born 12/16/20), Detailed as a shoemaker at Richmond until February 1864, Furloughed home 2/12/64 and does not return, Pension application states that he joined another (unspecified ) unit, Died in 1897 Francis M "Frank" White - He appears on the 1906 Roster Commission roll for Co E with the notation "Killed, Wilderness, Va. May 6, 1864" but he is not listed in the compiled service records for the Legion. It is likely that he had just joined Co E shortly before his death so he's included here based upon that probability. He is listed in the January 1864 "Joe Brown Militia Census" (which delineated all Georgia men age 16 to 60 NOT in service) in Lumpkin County as F M White, age 16 yrs 5 mos. A May 31,1864 letter from Lt Andrew Jackson Reese of Co E states that Frank was killed 5/31/1864 which would place his death in the actions around Cold Harbor, Va, Younger brother of Noah White. Noah White - Enlisted 8/8/61, Age 20, WIA at Fox's Gap, Promoted Cpl during 1863, Roll dated 10/5/64 shows him sick at home, AWOL thereafter, Pension application says he was recruiting at home at war's end, Died in 1910, Older brother of F M "Frank" White.
