Samuel Waters, died in this county last Saturday after a long illness and much suffering, aged 78. She joined the baptist church at the age of eight and lived such a life as to be numbered with the blessed in the other world. We deeply sympathize with Uncle Sam in the loss of the one he has been living so happily with the biggest part of his life, but death is something that visits every home. Additional Comments: (Polly died in Lumpkin county Georgia and is buried at Damascus Church.Polly and Sam had 10 children with only 6 living to maturity. Their son Samuel C. Waters married Nancy Dockery, the daughter of Andrew Dockery who Dockery lake derived its name.)
