Asbury Church Cemetery Inscriptions Macon County, GA ASBURY CHURCH CEMETERY (PRIVATE) Macon County Located on the Malachi Farm, east of Marshallville off Highway 127. The distance between the burying ground and the church makes us question if this was family cemetery rather than one connected to the church. In Memory of Johnny, son of J.C. Postell 3 March 1828 5 August 1850 Age 22 years & 6 Mos. "A dutiful son, beloved while living, lamented when dead he left the world in hope of a better inheritance" In Memory of Our Father, The Rev. James C. Postell Who died 25 February 1854 Aged 65 years "His life was spent in the service of his God and the Church Servant of God, well done Enter thy Master's Joy Rest from thy Loved Employ The battle fought, the Victory's won." In Memory of Our Mother, Tobitha M. Postell Who died 29 September 1855 Aged 67 years "Farwell, Mother, but not forever, we hope to reach you in heaven." 3 above ground crypts made from sun baked brick and mortar, round on top, no names or dates a number of rocks and "sinks" 1 above ground crypt, adult, similar, but no identical to the previous ones listed. In Memory of Caroline Louisa, daughter of W.F. & Joanna Postell Who died 2 January 1851 2 yrs. 2 mos. 29 das.
