Marshallville Suffered Severe Fire Loss Wednesday Morning

About 5 a.m. Wednesday morning fire broke out in the store of Slappey & Jones 
at Marshallville and before it could be gotten under control had destroyed that 
store and the adjoining establishment of F.P. Baldwin & Co.  Both of these 
buildings and stocks were a complete loss.  The Citizens Bank adjoining Slappey 
and Jones store was saved by valiant work, as the post office adjoining the 
Baldwin store.
