The Fort Valley Mirror has suspended its material will be moved to Oglethorpe 
where the Macon County Citizen, with Emmett Houser, editor, will be issued on 
the 25th instant.  The Mirror was established at Fort Valley in December 1871, 
by W.T. Christopher, who is now editor and publisher of the Montezuma Record 
and Alliance Advocate and the Patriot editor was then a “devil” in the office.  
In the suspension of the Mirror we feel like we have lost a near relative.

We have received the Macon County Citizen published by Emmett Houser at 
Oglethorpe.  It is a very creditable paper.
