Commissioner's Sale.  Wbs bef ct house door in town of Lanier, Macon county, 
(Geo) between usual hours of sale on Sat 13th Nov nx, following property to 
wit.  Lots of Land #257,258,267 in 1st dist of originally Muscogee now Macon 
county; also following named negroes--Daniel a man, Cilla a woman, Charles a 
man, Nance alias Sambo a man, Mason a boy, Fayette a boy, Judy a woman, Alfred 
a man, Seaborn a man, Maria a woman, Caroline a woman: sold as the property of 
Elizabeth Newsome dec'd & sold under a decree of the Superior Ct of said 
county, for the purpose of distribution.  Sale to coninue from day to day till 
all is sold.  Terms cash.

Notice: all persons forewarned against trading for a note given by the 
subscriber to Joshua Newsom, Adm'r on estate of Elizabeth Newsom, dec'd for 
$116.16 dated abt 1st Jan 1843, due 25th Dec nx, signed by myself & Wm. 
Mitchell, security, as I am determined not to pay the same unless compelled by 
law, the consideration for which it was given, having failed.  Caleb Lindsey.
