Times This appears to be a fine season for snakes. Master Leon Bryan, killed a monster rattle a few days ago. It had eleven rattles and weighed eighteen pounds. On Wednesday of this week G W Gordy chopped off the head of a huge rattlesnake, and fourteen young snakes, from ten to fifteen inches in length, ran out of its body. These young snakes had taken refuge within the old one to protect themselv from a dog, who had it at bay when found and killed.
