THE CORRESPONDENT, Roberta, Ga., Saturday, September 1, 1894

It is with sadness that we record the death of
Little Jesse the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Dock
Barfield which occurred at their home August
22nd., aged one year and three months. Having
been a sufferer from birth, the Father in Heaven
called him to Himself.


Weep, father and mother;
Little Jessse has gone to rest.
The angels beconed him to come,
And in God's bosom rest.
'Tis hard to give our darling up;
But God knows best.
For Little Jesse is an angel now,
And beckoning for the rest.
