DEATH OF JOSEPH F. DENT

Garden Valley and surrounding community mourn the loss of
one of their pioneer citizens, Joseph F. Dent, born February
22, 1864, and in accord with our Lord's will, he was called
to his eternal home on high January 19, 1911. Mr. Dent held
the esteem of all that had the pleasure of his acquaintance.
His life was honorable and upright. A splendid example for
one to follow.

He was united in marriage to Miss Masildin Bryan on Sept.
27, 1883. he is survived by his widow and six children, W.
Otis Dent, J Thomas Dent, Washington M. C. Dent, B. Robert
Dent, Mrs. Hubert Hobbs and Mrs. Toombs Oliver; also three
brothers, John Dent and James Dent of Box Springs, Ga. a
twin brother, Joah Dent of LaGrange, Ga. and one sister,
Mrs. Emma Tucker of Talbotton, Ga. The body was tenderly
laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Friday, January
20, 1922. Rev. Jones had charge of the funeral.

[Note: Joseph F. Dent - Born February 22, 1864 - Died
January 19, 1922 is buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery beside
his wife, Mrs. J. F.[Liddie M] Dent [1861 - 1930]
