Buck Mayo, 71 of Rout 2 died Monday at his Residence.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.

A native of Macon County,Mr. Mayo was a retired employee of the maintenance department at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of White Waters Baptist Church and was a World War II Army veteran.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Mayo and was the widower of Idalene C. Mayo.

Survivors include a son, Buck Mayo, Jr. of Enterprise, AL; a brother, Isaiah Mayo of Macon; four sisters, Janie Hill of Montezuma, Louise Happoldt and Christine Rowland, both of Fort Valley and Frances Spurling of Lake City, Fl; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
