A Fatal Accident

While attempting to board a moving train last Thursday near Mauk, Shine 
Anderson, a Negro brakeman, lost his hold and fell under the wheels.  Both 
limbs were mangled.  He was brought at once to Talbotton where his wounds were 
dressed with the best surgical skill, but from loss of blood he was too weak to 
survive the shock and died soon after.

His remains were carried to Oglethorpe.
