Carson a member of Co. C 12th Ga. Regt. Died Aug 27th 1862 Aged 29 years 11 mos. & 16 days. Amiable and beloved husband farewell. They years were few thy virtues were many; they are recorded not on this perishing stone, but in the Book of Life and in the hearts of afflicted FRIENDS. Additional Comments: This is the second of three tombstones for him. This is probably the first one erected as it matches Melissa Bryan Carson's brother Andrew Jackson Bryan's stone in the Bryan cemetery. Andrew also died during the Civil War.
