FRANCIS   MARION   CARSON

Francis M. Carson, 69, Passes After Short Illness.
Francis Marion Carson, 69, prominent resident of Reynolds and a member of the 
Macon County Board of Education for many years, passed away at a Macon 
hospital Friday afternoon after a short illness.
  Mr. Carson was born in Macon County, son of the late Joseph Jefferson and 
Lula Clyde Ricks Carson, and had spent his entire life near Reynolds.  He was 
a farmer and a steward in the Reynolds Methodist Church.
  Survivors include his wife, the former Annie May James of Reynolds; three 
brothers, James Ricks Carson and Charles F. Carson of Reynolds, and William 
Joseph Carson of Philadelphia, Penn.
  Funeral services were held Sunday at the Reynolds Methodist Church.  The 
Rev. Virgil Culpepper officiated and burial was in the CARSON FAMILY CEMETERY 
in Macon County.
  Goddard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
