January 15, 1948 DAVIS FRANKLIN BALDWIN, 80, DIES AT HOME IN MARSHALLVILLE January 15, 1948 - Davis Franklin Baldwin, 80, died last night Wednesday at 11:45 at his home in Marshallville. Born October 22, 1867 in Macon County, the son of the late Charles Fox and Ellen Virginia Gammage Baldwin, natives of Macon County. Mr. Baldwin spent his entire life in Marshallville. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. J. C. Ward of Decatur, Ala., one son, Paul Baldwin of Keystone Heights, Fla.; five sisters, Mrs. Leila Johnson and Mrs. Annie King of Marshallville; Mrs. B. H. Fincher of Fort Valley; Mrs. E. B. Peacock of Albany and Miss Ettienne Baldwin of Shelton, Conn.; and one brother, N. H. Baldwin of Albany. Funeral services were held at the Marshallville Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 3 o;clock. The Rev. C. E. Means officiated at the services and interment was in the Marshallville Cemetery. [Note: Rev. C.E.Means was the Methodist pastor, the obit says, held at the Baptist Church] Montezuma Funeral Home was in charge. The Fort Valley Lodge No. 110 F. & A. M. had charge of the graveside services.
