Will of Elizabeth Bryan, 1839, Macon Co. GA From: Meredith Clapper Georgia, Macon County The last will and testament of Elizabeth Bryan of the county of Macon and state aforesaid- I Elizabeth Bryan considering the uncertainty of this mortal life though at this time in good health and being of sound disposing mind & memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit: Item 1st: I will and desire that all just debts as by me shall be owing at the time of my death, shall be fully discharged and paid out of my effects. Item the 2nd: I give and bequeath all & singular the remainder of my estate both real & personal to my beloved son Erastus. Consisting of one Negroe fellow named Buck, aged twenty two years old, and all the notes, contracts, and credits due me, household & kitchen furniture, and all money of which I die possessed. Item 3rd: I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my sons, Nathan Bryan and McGruder as executors to this my last will & testament, requesting them to take charge of my aforesaid son Erastus J. Bryan, together with all my estate real & personal solely for his use and benefit during his minority.
