Notes on this family:
This family record is taken from the bible of Eugenia C. 
Black.  She evidently wrote this record down about 1894/5.
The dates are all correct.

James "Jim" Madison Culbertson, son of James Madison 
"Madison" Culbertson and Susan Hopper, married Mary Ann 
Josephine "Josie" Hix 1867.  Her middle name was Josephine,
not Joanna as stated in the bible.  Josie was the daughter
of Thomas "Tom/Tommie" Perry Hix and Sarah Elizabeth Thomas.
Jim was born Oglethorpe County, GA, died Madison County,
GA, buried Culbertson Cemetery, Madison County, GA.  Josie
was born Franklin County, GA, died Madison County, GA,
buried Culbertson Cemetery, Madison County, GA.

Their first child, Eugenia "Jeannie" Elizabeth Culbertson,
married John Lumpkin Black March 7, 1886 in Madison
County, GA.  Jeannie was born in Banks County, GA and died
September 29, 1949 in Royston, Franklin, GA.  She is buried
Ila City Cemetery; Ila, GA.  She married secondly James "Jim"
Thomas Cook.

Their second child, Madison Thomas "Tom" Culbertson, married
Lettie Jane Fitzpatrick January 8, 1891 Madison County, GA.
Tom was born Banks County, GA and died January 9, 1937 in 
Madison County, GA.  He is buried Ila City Cemetery; Ila, GA.

Their third child, Melita "Lita" Clementine Culbertson,
married Solomon "Sol" B. Bray December 15, 1889 Madison 
County, GA.  Lita was born Madison County, Ga and died 
November 28, 1961 Madison County, GA.  She is buried 
Providence Baptist; Madison County, GA.

Their fourth child, Sarah Hettia Susan Culbertson, was born 
Madison County, GA and died August 5, 1922 in Madison County, 
GA.  She is probably buried in the Culbertson Cemetery; 
Madison County, GA.

Their fifth child, Mary Ann Lutichia "Titia" Culbertson, 
married Joseph "Joe" W. Bray November 22, 1894 Madison 
County, GA.  She was born Madison County, GA and died 
October 7, 1926 in Madison County, GA.

Their sixth child, William Pinkney "Pink" Culbertson, 
married Rosa A. Morgan May 4, 1902 in Jackson County, GA.  
He was born Madison County, GA and died March 4, 1938 in 
Madison County, GA.  He is buried Friendship Baptist Church; 
Madison County, GA.

Their seventh child, John James Culbertson, married Ada A. 
Lord September 8, 1907 Madison County, GA.  He was born 
Madison County, GA and died February 28, 1951 Madison County, GA. 

Their eighth child, Melvin Young "Neb" Culbertson, married 
Nora Lee Hardman c1908.  Two or three times married.
He is buried in South Carolina.

Their ninth child, Effie May Culbertson, was born and died 
in Madison County, GA.  Buried Culbertson Cemetery; Madison 
County, GA.

Their tenth child, Gracy Ovila Culbertson, was born and died 
in Madison County, GA.  Buried Culbertson Cemetery; Madison 
County, GA.
