All of the first pages of this Bible, up to Genesis XIX were missing, so I do not have a publisher or date of the bible itself. This bible is in the home of Wylie Basham in Clifton, Texas (email bashamranch@htcomp.net). Wilda was the daughter of Pearl and Albert Hensley. T. P. (Thomas Pocus) and Gussie (Anna Augusta Allen) Scott were Wilda’s grandparents. Pearl Scott was born in Alabama and moved to Bosque County, Texas (Iredell) but we do not yet know what year the family moved to Texas. Pearl died November 9, 1979 and she and her husband, Albert) are buried in the Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas. Anna August Allen was the daughter of Hanable H. Allen and Martha Jane Hawks/Hawkes. Either Hanable Allen or T. P. Scott was a Baptist preacher. The family believes the Allens and/or the Hawkes were from Richmond, Virginia.
