South River-White’s Mill

1886, March 23 --- This Indenture made and entered into between J.F. White and
Lucy E. White of Madison County unto Thomas Bailey of Clark County.  For and in
consideration of the sum of $1200 dollars hath delivered these presents,
granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and does grant and convey and assign all
that tract of land situate and being on South River being the place and a parcel
of land around 
White’s Mill  along with the mill and machinery attached and millers house and
containing 26 acres.  And the party of the 2nd part shall have the right to keep
and maintain the dam across the river at as great a height as the dam toes has
been and the right and privilege to extend and lengthen the rafters over and
beyond the capsill of the dam so far as said rafters ever have at any time.
