Black State of Georgia } Madison County } The court of Ordinary for said county having at its regular term 1 in 1881 ordered the real estate of Mary Ann Black late of said County and Lemuel Black Admr of Lemuel Black having given notice of such sale in the Madison Yeoman a newspaper of said county as to its time and place and said Lemuel Black having on the first Tuesday in Dec 1881 at the place of public sale in the county exposed to sale at public outcry between the hours of 10 A.M. + 4 P.M. the real estate of said Mary Ann Black to be more fully and particularly described hereafter and the same having been then and there knocked off to Letty A Pemberton as the highest bidder for them at the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars now therefore this deed executed this day of February 1883 between Lemuel Black as administrator of Mary Ann Black and Letty A Pemberton Witnesseth that the said Lemuel Black as administrator of Mary Ann Black in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars hath granted bar gained sold and conveyed and doth by these presents bargain sell grant and convey unto said Letty A Pemberton in fee simple all that tract of land in said county to wit to wit plan of No 2. of the Mary Ann Back farm included under the following boundary commencing at a sycamore on South Broad River and proceeding N. 80 W. 20 16/130 chains to a stake or rock thence N 880 W. 5 65/100 chains to a stake or rock thence N. 251 50/100 chains to post oak: thence N. 880 W. 8 chains to a post oak: thence S 30 W. 56 chs to oak on S.B. River thence along said River to starting point containing 68˝ acres more or less To have and to hold the same with all the rights privileges and appurtinances and the said Lemuel Black administrator of Mary Ann Black covenants that in all respect he has pursued the law on bringing said property to law and bind himself personally to this extent and no more In witness whereof the said Lemuel Black as administrator of Mary Ann Black hath hereunto set his hands and seal Signed sealed and delivered } in the presence of us } Lemuel Black [s] C.
