Madison County	} This indenture made this the 6th day of
		  January 1890 between Mary Hix Abner H Hix
Nancy C Allen formerly Nancy C Hix Wm M Allen husband of the
said Nancy C Allen Nathaniel Hix all of the County of Madison
and State aforesaid And John T. Hix of the State of Alabama
all of the first part and Jason M Hix of the County of Madison
for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred
dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does here-
by see and convey unto the said Jason M Hix his heirs and as
signs our several interest to a certain tract or lot of land
situated in the county aforesaid on the head waters of
South Broad River to wit beginning at a pine on the
public road on the county line between the counties
of Madison and Jackson: thence S. 30 W. 36 to a post oak:
thence N 19 to a stake: thence S. 33°E 19.90 to a pine: thence N
2 E. 2 to an ash: thence down the meanderings of the
branch to a stake:  thence S. 3 W. 365 to a white oak thence
up the meanders of the branch to the spring on poplar
thence S10 W. 8.50 to post oak thence S. 60 W. 1970 to the
beginning containing one hundred and twenty
acres more or less together with all the rights and 
privileges thereunto belonging in fee simple and the
said Mary Hix Abner H Hix Nancy C Allen Wm M Allen 
Nathaniel Hix and John T Hix their heirs executors and
administrators the title to the premises aforesaid
will forever warrant and defend the said tract of land
to the said Jason M Hix his heirs and assigns against
themselves and against all other persons
In witness whereof the said Mary Hix Abner H Hix Nancy C
Allen Wm M. Allen Nanthaniel Hix and John T. Hix have here
unto set their hands and seals this day and year aforesaid
