Brown of the County of Madison and State of Georgia of the other part = Witnesseth that the said Lewis Brown for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars to him in law paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained, sold and conveyed unto the said Samuel B. Brown one certain tract of land situate lying and being in the County of Madison and State of Georgia on the waters of Holly Creek as following - Beginning at a Post Oak Corner where Blacks land and Simmons land join and running along Blacks line sixty-eight and a half rods to a Dogwood, thence along said Simmons land sixty-five rods to an (word illegible) wood. Thence forty-four and a half rods along Simmons land to a Black Oak. Thence twenty-five rods along Simmons land the beginning Post Oak and containing thirteen and three fourths acres and the said Lewis Brown for himself, his heirs, executor, administrators and assigns will work out and forever defend the right, title, interest and claims to said land and its appertenances unto him the said Samuel B. Brown, his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use, benefit and behalf in fee simple against the claims of himself, his heirs and assigns and against the claims of all other persons whatsoever.
