Broad River Tate & Stovall Mills Written: 1905 Madison County Georgia Superior Court Deeds-Mortgages South Broad River Tate & Stovall Mills 1905, January 4 --- This Indenture made and entered into between J.C. Martin of Madison County unto E.B. Tate and A.J.S. Stovall of Elbert County. For and in consideration of the sum of $775 dollars hath bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey the following bounded tract of land, to wit: all of that tract or lot lying and being in the 203rd District GM of Madison County on the North side of South Broad River and known as the Deadwyler Huff tract and containing 15 ½ acres according to plat and survey made by W.A. Bell the 29th day of May 1904 and adjoining lands of the Russell sisters & other lands of J.C. Martin and lands of said Tate and Stovall and lying immediately on said river at a place known as the Tate & Stovall Mills, a dam. Witnesses: J.C. Martin A.P. Stevens C. __.
