Clarke & Madison Counties See Co. B, 9th Battn. Ga. Infantry for roll of this company prior to May 6, 1863. The 37th Regt. Ga. Infantry was formed partly by consolidation of the 3rd and 9th Battalions of Georgia Infantry May 6, 1863. The 9th Battalion Georgia Infantry was also known as the 17th Battalion Ga. Inf. GHOLSTON, Dabney L. - Captain. See Captain Co. B, 9th Battn. Ga. Inf. ALLEN, Matthew S. - Private Jan. 6, 1864. Roll for Apr. 1, 1864, last on file, shows him present. Pension records show he was at home on sick furlough Feb. 1865, to close of war. (Born in Madison County, Ga. in 1844.) BROWN, W. A. J. - Private Aug. 6, 1863. Surrendered at Greensboro, N.C. Apr. 26, 1865. (Born in Oglethorpe County, Ga. in 1825.) BULLOCK, W. S. - Private Aug. 6, 1863. Sent to hospital Feb. 21, 1864. Captured and paroled at Atlanta (or Athens), Ga. May 8, 1865.
