Reg't --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Athens Banner Herald, Athens, Ga., 1863 The Atlanta Appeal had the following Intelligence: By command of Gen. Bragg, Lieut. General Polk has arrived To this city whither he has been required To repair and await further orders___ This procedure, as we have been informed, Is based upon some disagreement between The two generals as to the conduct of the latter on the battlefield of Chickamauga. Gen Polk, we learn feels confident that he Will be enabled, before the proper tribunal And in the most unqualified manner to acquit Himself of all blame in the premises.?. Gen. Hardman is also in the city under a similar State of circumstances.
