Danielsville Monitor May 11, 1923

CLAUDE MOON KILLS WIFE

Late last Thursday afternoon Claude Moon, colored, shot and killed his wife, 
Mary Lou, at the home of her mother Ella Sailors who live in a few steps of 
the business section of the town.  Moon and his wife had had some trouble, and 
he had cut one of her hands terribly about a week before.  She had gone to her 
mothers and he walked in and shot her down when she refused to go home with 
him, saying he had rather she was dead, than with any one else.

Moon is now in jail in Danielsville awaiting trial.
