W. Willis and Miss Dorothy Cox entertained delightfully at a miscellaneous shower, Wednesday evening, honoring Miss Marianne Adair, a bride- elect of September. The living room and reception hall were most attractive and colorful with vases of gorgeous dahlia and marigolds. Entertainment consisted in nuptial games, prizes being awarded to Miss Adair, Mrs. J. P. Gholston and Miss Lucille Sasser. A delicious salad plate, carrying outo the beautiful autumnal colors, was served. Mrs. Willis and Miss Cox were assisted in entertaining by their mother, Mrs. Duepree Cox. Those present were: Miss Marianne Adair, Mesdames Powers Lawson, H. C. Bullock, J. P. Gholston, Lucille K. Robertson, Joe t. Carithers, R. P. Rowe, J. C. Means, W. C. Birchmore, Jr., c. L. Adair, Miss Lucille Sassar, Mrs. Deupree Cox, Mrs. J. W. Willis and Miss Dorothy Cox.
