HONORING MRS. CHAFIN

   Mrs. Boyd Porterfield entertained with a luncheon Wednesday, August 6, from 
tow until five o'clock at their home in Carlton honoring Mrs. Betty Chafin of 
Carlton who announced her engagement to James Albert Ray of Elberton, the 
marriage to be solemnized at an early date.
   Guest were as follows:  Mrs. John Wynn; Mrs. J. W. Sherrer; Mrs. Stanley 
Tiller; Mrs. Annie Porterfield; Mrs. Dan Wynn; Mrs. Ralph Porterfield; Mrs. 
Edwin Smith; Mrs. Joe Martin, Mrs. Guy Porterfield; Mrs. Walter Long, all of 
Carlton and Mrs. J. W. Whittington, Jr. ofAtlanta.
