For a number of years Brother Lord was an official of his Lodge, Freeman Lodge No. 592, and was always punctual to duty and sincere in the work he undertook to carry on. His acceptance of a place in the Lodge always carried with it the determination to execute it to the very best of his ability. He had a clear and distinct vision of truth, honor and virtue and exercized with exceptional ability dispatch on each and every ocassion. He answered the call of the Great Architect of the Universe with that same sincerity that occasioned his well spent and righteous life. He was invariably at hand on all occasions where something good was possible to be accomplished. His love for the Masonic order was expressed in his absolute devotion to the principles it advocated. He not only carried on with his Masonry but was devoted to God's Church and was ever on the alert to render his best to the service of mankind. His work in the Sunday School, both at Ila and Wesley's Chapel will be sorely missed. In every way Jewell Lord was dependable and worth of the of the order to which he belonged as well as to humanity in general. Our sympathy goes out to the Family in their great loss of this good man where we all esteemed and in our hearts cherish a fond and glorious trust for his Father to the Kingdom of god. J. L.
