D. Collin's State School Superintendent announced today. The cash awards, donated by Sears & Roebuck Educational Foundation, will be made at a 'Victory Banquet' at the Henry Grady Hotel in Atlanta Friday night February 15, climaxing the _____ _______ ____ "Food for Victory Contest" sponsored by Georgia Association of the Future Farmers of America which is closely allied with the vocational agriculture program of the State Department of Education. Although interest will be centered on the first and second state winners in the contest, eighth winners from each of four districts covering every part of Georgia will also share the spotlight. T. G. Walters, state supervisor of vocational agriculture, said pproximately 200 Georgia business and civic leaders have been invited to the banquet to see for themselves just what the young rural leaders are doing. Colonel Earl Norman, prominent Washington, Ga. attorney, will be principal speaker at the banquet. Preceding his address four FFA members will outline someof their objectives and accomplishments. These speakers will be Ben Spear, Forsyth; Joris McGahee, Jakin; Bernice White, Moultrie; and William Reed Porter, Lavonia.
