AND MRS. POLK GHOLSTON HOLD OPEN HOUSE The home of Mr. and Mrs. Polk Gholston was a scene of beauty and gaiety on Sunday afternoon as many old friends gathered at the Open House part given by the couple. Many beautiful flowers and ferns were used in decorating and the highlight of the afternoon were the many souvenirs and relics collected by Mr. Gholston during two years spent in the E. T. O. and sent to Mrs. Gholston. Mrs. Gholston's mother, Mrs. Geneva Goodson, of Atlanta and Mrs. J. W. Gholston assisted in receiving guests. Mrs. and Mrs. Robert Jones and Judy and Janet Jones, Miss Carolyn Goodson and Mr. Lemuel Goodson, all of Atlanta helped serve refreshments and in entertaining over one hundred guests. Out of town guests included Mrs. Charley Crawford, Kitty and Buddy Crawford of Lexington, Ga.; Dr. W. D. Gholston and Mrs. R. E. Adair, of Danielsville, Ga.; Mrs. Stewart D. Brown, of Royston; Mrs. Lays O'Barr of Hartwell; Mrs. Dorothy Brown and Lt. Leo Mulhearn. _______ Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Wier of Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Heard and Dr. and Mrs. D. N. Thompson of Elberton; Mrs. Henry Kuther, of Brooklyn, N.
