A verdict that Murray shot in self defense was rendered. An unusually large crowd attended the hearing. Four witnesses were put on the stand. From the testimony, it developed that Murray was on his way home when Hardeman fired at him. Witnesses stated that the student shot in self defense. The shooting which occurred Tuesday, is said to have been the culmination of a long feud between the two men.
