Danielsville Monitor June 1946
SHOWER FOR BRIDE-ELECT MISS MILDRED McCANNON

   Miss Mildred McCannon, bride-elect of the month, was honored at a 
miscellaneous shower on Monday afternoon, June 3rd, at the home of Miss 
Saradelle Turner, where lovely decorations of lilies ___ ___ ___ Queen Anne's 
lace were vased in artistic profusion. A unique contest held and the prize won 
by Mrs. R. T. Eberhardt, Jr. who presented the honoree with the prize, two 
guest towels.
   As each guest entered she was requested to sign the Bride's book.
   Miss McCannon received many beautiful gifts from friends present.  After 
looking at the gifts, delicious refreshments of ice cream and cake were 
served.  The hostess was assisted  by her mother, Mrs. J. R. Turner, and Mrs. 
A. C. Sorrells, Miss Alene Sorrells and Mrs. C. H. Bryant.
