Provided, This Ordinance shall not prohibit a merchant from selling anything for medical or burial purposes any time of night. Violators shall pay a fine of not less than 1 nor more than 10 dollars. No. 2 Card Playing No person shall play at any game of cards within the incorporate limits of Danielsville, except it be in a private dwelling house. Any person so offending shall pay a fine of not less than five nor more than 10 dollars. No. 3 Prohibition (misnumbered in text as No. 5) No person shall be allowed to sell, directly or indirectly, spirituous vinous or malt liquors, within the incorporate limits of Danielsville, to-wit: Whiskies, brandies, wines, beers, ciders, tonics or any other kind of intoxicants. Anyone violating this Ordinance shall be arrested by the marshal and brought before the commissioners to be dealt with according to law. No. 4 Indecent Conduct any person conducting him or herself in an indecent manner, or by hollowing and as to be boisterous, or using vulgar or profane language within the incorporated limits of Danielsville, shall pay a fine of not more than ten nor less than one dollar. No. 5 Peddlers No ______ peddler shall sell goods, wares or merchandise at retail in the corporate limits of Danielsville, without first pay in a tax of not less that one dollar or more than twenty-five dollars, and obtaining a license from the town commissioners, which license shall last for 12 months and no longer; this however does not refer to disabled soldiers of the last war, nor does it prohibit farmers or other persons from selling domestic produce in any quantity. Any one violating this Ordinance shall pay a fine of from two to ten dollars. No. 6 Shows, etc. No show shall be allowed to exhibit in the incorporate limits of Danielsville for pay or profit, without first paying a tax of from one to twenty-five dollars. Anyone attempting to violate the Ordinance shall be arrested and dealt with as the council thinks right and proper. No. 7 Gaming Houses No person shall be allowed to keep a gaming house of any kind within the incorporate limits. No. 8 Explosives No person shall shoot a gun, pistol or any other fire-arms is the town of Danielsville, except it be absolutely necessary to protect person or property; any person violating the ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than on nor more than $10.00. No. 9 Explosives No person shall burst any fire crackers of other explosives in the town of Danielsville in day time; and shall not burst the same at night, except by permission of the town commissioners; any one violating this ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than one nor more than ten dollars. No. 10 Drunkenness It shall be the duty of the Marshall to arrest all persons in any way disturbing the peace of the town, and to arrest all intoxicated persons, or any one publicly drinking whiskey. Should the persons intoxicated be too drunk to care for themselves, it shall be the duty of the marshal to put such persons in the calaboose and there to keep them until sober or turned over to their friends, upon the payment of a fine of not less than one nor more than ten dollars. No. 11 Stocklaw No horse, mule, cattle, goats, sheep or hogs, shall run loose or at large within the incorporated limits of Danielsville and any horse, mule, cattle, goats, sheep or hogs __ ___ ___ incorporate limits, shall be ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ kept ____ redeemed by the owner. The owner ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ fee of one dollar, fifty cents to the marshal _____ _____ ____ ____ ___ing the same until redeemed. This Ordinance has ____ _____ ____ ___ ___ing each stock to and from a pasture No. 12 Shade Tree Any person tying, hitching or fastening any horse, mule ___ ___ __ ___ ____ to any of the shade trees contiguous to the court house, or any shade__ ___ ___ tree contiguous to any dwelling, or to any ___ fence or to any_ ____ ____ the town of Danielsville, shall be fined one dollar and fifty cents, and to the ____ shall for taking up and cost for keep the animal until redeemed. No. 13 De__unc__ Animal Any person owning or controlling a domestic animal in the town of Danielsville and said domestic animal dies in said town of Danielsville, the owner ____ ____ shall have such animal removed at once beyond the incorporate limits of said town. Any person refusing to move such animal shall be fined not less than one nor more than ten dollars. No. 14 Stallions, Etc. No person shall be allowed to keep any horse or domestic animal for breeding purposes, outside of private enclosures, inside the incorporate limits of Danielsville. Any person violating this ordinance shall be fined no more than ten nor less than five dollars. No. 15 Fast Driving Any person running a horse or mule within the incorporate limits of Danielsville, on conviction of same, shall pay a fine of not less than one nor more than two dollars. Provided that should there be an urgent necessity, from a providential cause, for so running a horse or mule, then they shall not pay the fine. No. 16 Resisting Officer Should any offender of the Ordinance of the town of Danielsville, resist arrest and the marshal require assistance to make such arrest, he shall have the power to summon ___ person or persons, Commissioners excepted, in the incorporate limits to _____ and nay person refusing to assist after being summoned, shall be imprisoned or fined in the discretion of the Council. No. 17 Interfering with Officer Any person interfering with the marshal while making an arrest, or in any way attempting to rescue and release a prisoner, while under arrest, shall be fined not less than five nor more than ten dollars, or imprisoned not less than five days. No. 18 Street Work T__ ___ male person in the incorporate limits of Danielsville, subject to road duty, shall on or before the 15th day of February in this year, pay a tax of two dollars or work on the street for five days. After paying said tax or working said number of days, shall not be subject to road duty this year. Any one failing or refusing to comply with this Ordinance, shall be fined not less than two not more than ten dollars, or imprisoned not less than one nor more than five days. No. 19 Streets ___ ___ ___ shall be the duty of the Marshall to keep the streets and sidewalks open, that parties may pass with ease, and any person refusing to give way, when ordered by the Marshall so to do, shall be guilty of disorderly conduct and fined accordingly. No. 20 Obstructing Sidewalks No person or persons shall be allowed to ____ ____ ____, etc., across or on any of the sidewalks within the incorporate limits of ____ ____ or on public square. Any person or persons so doing will be ____ by the Marshall to remove the same. If after notice being by the Marshall to remove the same, and such person or persons refuse to do so, they shall pay a fine of one dollar and all expenses of the marshal in moving the same.
