The Georgia Enterprise, June 4, 1869

DIED

  At his home in Madison County, Ga., on Saturday evening, the 15th
of May, of Inflammation of the Stomach, Mr. William J. Anderson, (brother
of one of the publishers of this paper,) in the 31st year of his age. He
was sick only two days when death released him from his severe sufferings.

  In all the relations of life he was an exemplary man. As a soldier, he
was brave and vigilant; as a son, dutiful, kind, and affectionate; as a
brother, devoted and attentive; and as a neighbor, social and obliging.
His loss will long be deplored by a large circle of relatives and friends.
Yet we desire to be reconciled to the will of God, and bow with reverence
to this afflictive dispensation of Divine Providence, feeling that our loss
is His eternal gain.
