Grandma Meadow Passes Away

     On last Sunday night at 11:30 o'clock, Ms. E.K.W. Meadow, (Grandma Meadow, 
as she is better known) died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M.J. Moseley.
 
    She had been suffering for several years from a hurt received in a 
runaway, from which she never recovered.  She bore her afflictions with 
patience and fortitude, and in humble submission to the will of the Lord.

     When the news was spread that Grandma was dead, every heart was saddened, 
and the expression of all was that a good woman had gone.  If she had an enemy 
in the world, we never heard of it, and during the time she had control of her 
reason, she had a pleasant smile and a comforting word for everyone with whom 
she came in contact.

    She had been a member of the Primitive Baptist church at Lystria for about 
sixty years, and died in the faith she had so long professed.  The Lord called 
his own and she answered, and is gone from us to wear the crown prepared for 
her in the Kingdom of the Blessed.

     Her works are left behind her, and they are a monument to her memory.

     While her children and relatives weep and grieve over her departure, she 
has gone to join her husband and children, who have preceded her, to that world 
prepared by the Lord for his children, and where all can be gathered together 
on that Great Day.

    Her remains were laid to rest beside her husband at Lystria burying ground 
on last Tuesday, Elder John Manley her pastor, conducting the services.

"Grandma" was Elizabeth K. Williford Meadow, wife of Berry Jones Meadow.
