We regret to learn of the death of J. T. patton, which occured at 
Comer Tuesday morning.  He had been in failing health for some time,
but it was not thought that he would die so soon.  While alone a few
days ago he had fainted and fallen with is feet near the fire and
they were pretty badly burned.  This may have hastened his death, but
was not the cause of it.  his remains were interred at Comer Wednesday,
Rev. J. F. Pharr conducting the services His wife had preceded him to
the grave about a year ago and now he follows to join her in that fairer
and better land.  His death was uite a shock to his people.
