J. Wilburn Fowler

Royston, Ga., August 15, 1950 - Funeral services for J. Wilburn Fowler, 
78, well known resident of the Harrison community of Madison County, 
were held from the Hannah's Creek Baptist Church Sunday at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Odell Pritchett and the Rev. Hoyt Dove conducted the rites. 

Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Fowler died at his home Saturday following a long period of 
declining health.  He was a native of Madison County, a son of the late 
John M. and Paralee Sartain Fowler.  His wife, Mrs. Ophelia Bryant 
Fowler, preceded him to the grave.

Survivors include four daughter, Mrs. Richard Campbell, of Danielsville, 
Mrs. Audrey Goodson, of Anderson, S.C., Mrs. Zadie Goodrum, of Hartwell, 
and Mrs. James Hancock of Royston; two sons, Reece Fowler of Royston and 
Toombs Fowler, also of Royston; two sisters, Mrs. Harrison Fowler and 
Mrs. Hulda Freeman, both of Athens; one brother, Willis Fowler of Royston.
The Cunningham-Pruitte Funeral Home was in charge.
