Mr. Campbell, a native of Madison County, was the son of the late William Richard and Donnie Fowler Campbell. He was retired from Porterfield Construction Company and was a veteran of the Army Air Force. Mr. Campbell was a member of Northside Baptist church where he served as deacon. Funeral services were Sunday, April 28, 1996 at 3:00 PM at Northside Baptist Church. Dr. Virgil Edwards, Rev. Ralph Arnold and Rev. Jamie Doster officiated. Interment was in Colbert Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nathan Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Burton Campbell, Alan Campbell, Paul Campbell, Joshua Campbell, Sampson Christian, and David Christian. Survivors include his wife, Winnie Mae Christian Campbell, two sons, Timothy Campbell of Buford, and Rabun Campbell of Saluda, S.C.; 3 daughters, Kathryn Phillips and Brenda Fitzpatrick of Hull, and Judy James of Colbert; five sisters, Decie Lee Bryant of Piedmont, S.C. Annie Sue Christian and Mary Frances Childs of Royston, Ree Beard of Athens, and Joyce Campbell of Danielsville; one brother, Letcher Campbell of Comer; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
