Smith Danielsville Charlie Norman Smith, 58, of Route 2, Box 2489, died Monday, Aug. 26, 1996. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Smith was a son of Annie Mae Smith, Athens, and the late Jack Smith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Westinghouse after 35 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel, Athens, with the Rev. Jamie Doster officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Dot Smith; two sons, Charles Wendell Smith, Phoenix, Ariz., and Randall Smith, Danielsville; two brothers, Leonard Smith and Jerry Smith, both of Athens; and two sisters, Vivian Fowler and Frances Wilson, both of Athens. The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
