A native of Madison County, Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of the late Lessie D. and Susie Carithers and was a member of Holly Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Revs. Scotty Randolph, Thomas Wilson and Ronnie Gantt. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include a son, Terry O. Johnson, Athens; a daughter, Marcell Willoughby, Athens; three sisters, Mary Johnson and Janie Carithers, both of Comer, and Rachel Hawkins, Athens; four brothers, Franklin Carithers, Concord, N.C., Sgt. 1st Class Virgilin Carithers, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Clarence Carithers and Joseph Carithers, both of Charlotte, N.C.; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at Hurley Funeral Home, Athens.
