A native of Metter, Mrs. Meeks was a daughter of the late Jake and Trilby Mae Jones Sapp and the widow of Dorsey Meeks. She was a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Gordons Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Revs. James Hartley and John Sorrow officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Dale Meeks Kenner; and a grandson, Michael Spencer Kenner, Colbert. Pallbearers will be William Kenner, Joseph Rickman, John Bellew, J.R. Bellew, Reuben Brown and Charles Jones. The family will receive friends 9:30-10:30 a.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East.
