Webb Greensboro Leona Wood Webb, 65, of 1701 Bowen Pond Road died Monday, Jan. 20, 1997. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Webb was a daughter of the late Jack W. and Alice James Wood and the widow of Jack D. Webb. She was a textile plant supervisor and a Baptist. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Wesley Chapel Church with the Revs. Sherwin Finch and Patrick Tice officiating. Burial will be in the Webb family cemetery, Georgia Highway 15. Survivors include a son, William J. Webb, Greensboro; two daughters, Karen W. Davis, Greensboro, and Susan W. Walker, Watkinsville; two brothers, Homer Wood, Folly Beach, S.C., and Grover E. Wood, Pensacola, Fla.; five sisters, Bert Lundy, Union Point, Janey Mize, Macon, Velma Webb-Bauman, New Berlinville, Pa., Martha Stanford, Lilburn, and Sue Welsh, Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Jack D. Lundy, Billy Armour, Bobby Welsh, Allen Bryan, Tom Karsten, Leon Lundy, Bobby Wood and Bruce Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Madden, Raymond Wiggins, Glenn Taylor and Delmus Powell. Callaway Funeral Home, Union Point, is in charge of arrangements.
