A native of Madison County, Mr. Seymour was a son of the late John Timothy and Evie Phelps Seymour. He was a retired sweeper from the J.P. Stevens Appleton plant and a farmer. He was a member of Liberty Congregational Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Earl Wilson and Paul Hood officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Garden of Prayer. Survivors include three sons, Gene Seymour, Stewart Seymour and Danny Seymour, all of Hartwell; two daughters, Mary S. Folsom, Hartwell, and Ann S. Perry, Girard; two brothers, Richard Seymour, Hartwell, and the Rev. Collie Seymour, Halifax, Va.; two sisters, Geraldine S. Harley, Ninety Six, S.C., and Loretta S. Hamlin, Hartwell; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
