Johnson Hull Deacon O.T. Johnson, 76, of Route 2, Box 532, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997. A native of Madison County, Deacon Johnson was a son of the late Frank H. and Hattie Mailey Johnson. He was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Waggoner Grove Baptist Church, Colbert. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Waggoner Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. I.J. Johnson, Thomas Wilson, Larry C. Fort and Otelia Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hitchcock Cemetery, Colbert. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Maude B. Johnson; four sons, Ora Lee Johnson, Frank Harold Johnson and Charles Johnson, all of Athens, and Dwight Johnson, Hull; four daughters, Heddie Hill, Virginia Ford and Barbara Cooper, all of Athens, and Sharinn Johnson, Hull; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. The family is at the residence. Mack and Payne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
