A native of Madison County, Mr. Maddox was a son of the late Charles Arthur Maddox and Cornelia Lee McLeroy Maddox, who survives. He was a coil winder at ABB, Athens, and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a member of Moons Grove Baptist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Moons Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Tony Lee and Mark Fite officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two sisters, Hazel Hart, Danielsville, and Gladys Lyon, Tucker; two brothers, Herman Maddox, Colbert, and Marvin Maddox, Louisville, Ky.; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Leon Bridges, Russell Bridges, Roger Collins, Robert Chandler, Mike Poliquin and Gary W. Cunningham. The family is at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604. Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
